When I started my legal career, I represented high-net-worth clients and their businesses—and I quickly saw how traditional, “one-size-fits-all” models of estate planning led to conflict, endless court cases, and all-around dissatisfaction.

Knowing that families needed personalized support, and estate plans that take business into account, I founded Palm Desert Law to bridge the gap.

On a more personal level, I’m both a mom and a stepmom. I know how complicated and unique family dynamics can be—which is why we approach estate planning from the POV that no two families are exactly alike.

As your lawyer, I like to do things the old-school way. And no, I’m not talking about wearing pantyhose or carrying a briefcase. What I mean is that I want to be your family’s lawyer. Not just for today’s crisis, but for life—someone that you can confide in, someone who guides you through challenging and emotionally loaded decisions.

Serena Marohn

Client Services Director

A Coachella Valley native, Serena joined the Palm Desert Law Group in July 2023, bringing extensive experience in customer service and client relations. She loves to serve the community that she calls home, and where she spends time off with her family camping and BBQing. Serena is now planting her own roots here, buying her first home with husband Ricky. For now, she’s mom to 3 beautiful rescued fur babies.

Holly Thomas

Holly recently joined Palm Desert Law full-time in June 2024, after assisting us behind the scenes for years. Clients love her fresh perspective and attention to detail. Outside of work, Holly is pursuing her associate’s degree at College of the Desert and plans to transfer to a four-year university in the fall of 2025. She enjoys pursuing her passions for photography, city exploration, and shopping. A lifelong resident of the desert, she is deeply committed to her community.
